The Annual Chamber Golf Tournament is scheduled for Thursday Oct 20, 2011 at Oakhurst Golf Club. The tradition continues with the best golf tournament in East Montgomery County. This year’s golf outing will once again be held at the beautiful Oakhurst Golf Club with a 9 am shotgun start. Golfer registration will begin at 8 am.

The Chamber’s Education Committee is hosting the second annual East Montgomery County Spelling Bee on Thursday, February 17th at 6:00 pm and is inviting all businesses in the Chamber to enter a team of your greatest spellers. 100% of the proceeds will be given out in scholarships to area high school seniors to continue their education. The scholarships will be awarded through the Rotary Club of East Montgomery County through its annual scholarship program. The Chamber has supported the Rotary Clubs scholarship program for several years and this is a way to expand that support and at the same time give you an opportunity to support our students as well.

Craft vendors, food concessions, historical displays, Live Sawmill Demonstrations by Alvin Smith Logging, old timey pictures, live music on the grandstand outdoors, carnival games, school choirs, rock climbing wall, petting zoo, giant slide and moonwalk, and tournament competitions - sack races, bucket relays, and more.
