Colorectal Cancer Seminar scheduled for March 23 at Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital
HUMBLE – An expert panel of physicians from the Memorial Hermann Cancer Center-Northeast will present a free colorectal cancer seminar on Monday, March 23, 6 p.m. to 7:30 pm, at the hospital’s Classrooms A&B. Enter through the hospital’s West Entrance.
Members of the panel include:
- Parendra Banker, M.D., gastroenterologist
- Richard Baltz, M.D., medical oncologist
- Jose Ortega, M.D., surgeon
- Majid Mohiuddin, radiation oncologist
The panel, affiliated with Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital, will provide life-saving information about the disease – from prevention through diagnosis, treatment and beyond. Persons aged 50 and older should be concerned about colorectal cancer, which is second only to lung cancer in the number of cancer deaths for men and women combined. However, the panel will discuss how colorectal cancer can be treated as well as prevented.
Free take-home colorectal cancer screening kits will be distributed to participants.
