Leadership East Montgomery County (EMC) began in 1999 to promote and obtain the current and future leaders of east county. The goals are to increase civic involvement and reduce the communication gap between traditional networks of community leaders. The Leadership EMC program is composed of eight sessions (including an opening mandatory session) focusing on leadership development for the expressed purpose of enhancing both economic and community development.Leadership East Montgomery County is a member of the Association of Texas Leadership Programs.
